Blast Pro 43L Roller Backpack

Both are 43L, cabin-friendly, share the same dimensions (35×23×55cm), lockable 15.6'' laptop sleeve, RFID pocket, PVC spinner wheels, and 2-section pull bar. The Pro upgrades three things: ripstop nylon becomes a TPU waterproof exterior; standard zippers become YKK waterproof zippers; and a detachable hip belt is added for weight distribution on longer carries. Weight is nearly identical at 3.00kg vs 3.03kg.

The Pro 38L is lighter (1.18kg), more compact, and underseat approved — better when you're covering ground on foot. The Pro 43L weighs 3.03kg and is built for rolling, earning its weight in long terminal walks. Capacity-wise, the 43L fixed volume is larger than the 38L's 28–38L expandable range. If your trip involves long airport hauls and you want to avoid checking luggage, go the 43L Roller. For shorter trips or a bag that works as well on foot as it does rolling, the Pro 38L is the stronger pick.

Yes to both. The RFID-blocking pocket has built-in card slots to prevent contactless skimming. The laptop sleeve has lockable zipper pulls you can secure with a small travel lock (not included) — useful in hotel rooms, hostel lockers, or overhead bins. Both features are also on the standard Blast 43L, not Pro-exclusive.

Yes — an upgraded wet/dry pocket keeps damp items separated from the rest of your gear. It's particularly useful after beach days, gym sessions, or rainy arrivals where you don't want wet clothes or shoes touching everything else. The standard Blast 43L has a wet/dry pocket too, but the Pro's version uses an upgraded lining.

Yes — the TPU exterior resists water rather than just repelling light rain. In practice, this means spills and splashes wipe clean off the surface, and the bag holds up in sustained rain without soaking through. The YKK waterproof zippers seal the seams as a second layer of protection. It's wipe-clean for everyday scuffs too, which keeps the bag looking newer for longer after repeated trips.

It's cabin-friendly at 35×23×55cm, fitting overhead bins on most major Australian carriers, including Qantas and Virgin Australia. At 3.03kg unladen, budget carriers with strict 7kg carry-on limits like Jetstar leave limited buffer when fully packed — weigh your bag before flying if weight limits are a concern.

Three modes: roll on PVC spinner wheels using the 2-section telescopic handle; carry as a backpack with hideaway shoulder straps and detachable hip belt; or grab by one of three handles — top, side, and base. The concealable wheel cover keeps wheels contained and clothes clean when switching to backpack mode.

Yes — the TPU exterior holds up and looks clean after repeated trips, YKK waterproof zippers add durability, the lockable laptop sleeve secures a 15.6'' device, and the RFID pocket covers cards and passports. The detachable hip belt adds comfort on longer terminal walks. For frequent business travellers who want a roller backpack that performs and stays looking sharp, the Pro 43L is the stronger pick over the standard 43L.
